1995–96 New York Knicks season : ウィキペディア英語版 | 1995–96 New York Knicks season
The 1995–96 New York Knicks season was the 50th season of NBA basketball in New York City, New York.〔(1995-96 New York Knicks )〕 After Pat Riley left to coach the Miami Heat, the Knicks would hire Don Nelson. However, the team never seemed to get under Nelson, as he was replaced midseason by long time assistant Jeff Van Gundy. Under Van Gundy, the Knicks would finish the season winning 13 of their final 22 games to post a 47-35 record for a second place finish in the Atlantic Division. Power forward Anthony Mason became a starter for the Knicks, and led the league with 42.2 minutes per game. In the first round of the playoffs, the Knicks would make quick work of the #4 seed Cleveland Cavaliers again sweeping them in three straight games. However, in the semifinals, the Knicks would be done in by an old foe as they were dominated by the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan (who had returned a season eariler) in five games.〔http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nba/nyk/nyknicks.html〕 ==Offseason==
